Rachel Ellenbogen

Rachel Ellenbogen, M.S. CCC-SLP, TSSLD is a New York State licensed and ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certified Speech-Language Pathologist. Rachel received her Bachelor of Science in Hearing and Speech Sciences at the University of Maryland and earned a Master of Arts in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from Teachers College, Columbia University.
Rachel specializes in receptive and expressive language disorders, social/pragmatic language disorders including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), articulation/phonological disorders, and selective mutism. She has experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), including the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), basic sign language, Proloquo2Go, and Touch Chat. She is also familiar with the Social Communication Anxiety Treatment model (S-CAT) to treat children with selective mutism. Rachel is passionate about providing every child with a way to communicate, whether it be verbally or nonverbally. She believes that early intervention, in real life settings, is the key to successful communication.
